Sunlight on Dark Days

About 6:30 tonight I realized that I was enjoying a beautiful, blue, sunlit sky.  The reason this realization matters is because it had been dreary all day until now.  The difference:  we had risen above it.  I was cruising at 34,000ft when it dawned on me that this could be a very inspirational moment.  That moment when you realize that you could make this situation a parallel to real life.  Something like, “There is always sunshine to be had, even on the cloudiest days.  All you have to do is rise above it..”  Cheesy, I know.  I just think it’s funny when those moments in life happen.  I took these photos of the sunset.  It was beautiful from where I was sitting even though 30 minutes later I was opening the door to the dark, cold, wet outdoors.

I thought it was really cool that the camera got my reflection as I was taking a picture out the window.

  1. That's not cheesy, it's true. Thanks for the reminder!
