Today was my first day back to work in the clouds. That’s right, I get to spend my days with my head in the clouds and no one can tell me to stop it! I have the most fabulous job in the world and I am not humble about it at all. Thankful, yes, to the core of my being. Humble, no, I love it too much to try and act like it’s not that big of a deal. Anyway, as I was saying, it was my first day back. All planes are required to go through a yearly maintenance exam. Our plane is still going through that exam, so I was obliged to work alongside the great folks at Champion Air. Not Champion Air the commercial airline, but Champion Air the airline of Dale Earnhardt, the champion himself. They just recently began contracting out their plane, and it just so happens that we are their very first client. It’s a bigger plane than we are used to. It has 13 more seats than our aircraft. They are in charge of safety, so I sit in a jump seat at the back of the plane. Today was the first time I have been able to look out a window during take off and landing while working in over a year and half. It was great.
The plane on the left is Champion Air. The picture on the right is me on our our normal aircraft. It’s hard to tell the difference in their size from these pictures, so you’ll just have to trust me on that.
