The Art of Running

I  have decided that the art of running is the clothes that you do it in. It is my observation that rich people aren't pretty because they can afford personal trainers, they are pretty because they can afford top of the line work-out clothes. I realized this today when I woke up and couldn't wait to put on my Under Armour (I had to grab the jacket to see how to spell it) leggings and my Under Armour hoodie. I spent this years Christmas and birthday money for extravagant running apparel that I never would have bought otherwise, but what can I say? IT IS TRULY AMAZING AND I SWEAR IT MAKES ME A BETTER RUNNER!  Let me explain. If you know me then you know that I am very particular about my internal body temperature. I always dress in layers, I carry a jacket in the summer, the first thing I do when I go to a friends house is grab the best blanket, etc. When I run in my magic running clothes, I never get hot and I never cold! That is the secret! That is why they cost so much, and you know what? It's worth it!  One day I wore some other work-out pants and all I could think about was how cold my legs were. Plus, the wind was hitting them so hard they were itching. I have come to believe that the reason I have always hated to run and why I never lasted long when I did is because all I could think about is how miserably hot or cold I was. I had never run in comfort until now, and you know what? I love it! And, while it can't hurt that man's best friend is loving it right beside me, I can't help but think it must be the clothes.  So, take it for what you will.  But as for me, well, I can't wait to get up tomorrow, put on my official running clothes and hit the pavement once again.

  1. I love my UnderArmour Too! Although it is great...I do not find myself running in it unless I am chasing down a kid or two. I use it specificly to avoid shivering to death in restaurants or dying of hypothermia while hanging out in the barns with Rusty. (You see, his cattle have "cool rooms" they stay in so as to maintain their pristine showing features. Ha!) Anyway, I love my Under Armour too! Happy Running!
