Today was a snow day for us. It was so much fun. Jason, Bub, Brinkley and I got to hang out all day. We had coffee and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, taco soup for lunch, and leftovers for dinner. We never left the house, except of course to see what was going on outside.
Brinkley loves the snow. She began eating it as soon as she got outside.
Tonight, Jason and I witnessed something we had never seen before. When Brinkley is in the house we always encourage her to stay on her bed, but the reality of the situation is that ever 2-3 minutes you have to put her back on her bed. The reason for this is because if she is not her bed then she is either tormenting the cat, slobbering on our computers, or rummaging around the kitchen looking for something to eat. Around 8:00 I had had enough. So, I opened the door to the garage, snapped my finger and pointed into the garage and said, “Outside.” She looked at me and then went directly to her bed and laid down. I left her there, until she got up two minutes later. I went through the garage door again and again she immediately went and laid down on her bed. By this time we were in stitches. She knew exactly what she was supposed to do. It happened one more time and then I finally really did put her in the garage. It was hilarious. I’m so glad Jason was home for it, because it never would have been the same if we hadn’t seen it together.
Yeah for snow days. I’m definitely praying for another one tomorrow.
