Welcome to Pathfinder!

I have been  “living” in Bartlesville for the past four months, but it wasn’t until three weeks ago that  I decided to start bringing Brinkley with me.  On her first day in Bartlesville I asked one of the pilots where I should take her to walk/run.  He said, “Take her to Pathfinder.”  I said, “Pathfinder, what’s that?”  He replied, “You haven’t been to Pathfinder?  It’s a trail that winds all the way through and around Bartlesville.”  And that was it.  I was in love.

Welcome to Pathfinder.

No joke, I was standing in one place when I took the last two pictures.  Pathfinder literally goes through town.  It’s as if the town is built in a circle around the forest instead of the town going through the forest.  I believe something like Pathfinder is the greatest gift a city could ever give to it’s citizens.  It’s a beautiful place that makes people want to get outside and get moving.  Everyday that I’m in Bartlesville I can’t wait to get back on Pathfinder.  Even in this 100-110 degree weather I can get out at noon because the path is shaded and the breeze is cool.  It’s truly amazing.

  1. The clovers are wild strawberries, at least I'm pretty sure, that's what they look like to me. Great pictures, some of the purities I miss about Oklahoma. Which is weird since I live in Colorado, but just different. Miss you!

  3. That's gorgeous, even though the "river" is brown. I'm not used to that up here, but that shade sure looks nice. I thought of you yesterday, b/c I just purchased tickets on Frontier to fly to OKC in May for my brother's wedding.
