Catchin’ Up

It’s been a crazy few days.  So crazy that I haven’t even checked my email, much less updated my blog.  (Well, crazy and lazy, but nonetheless, I never opened the computer.)

Like everyone else I spent last Thursday and Friday working in my flower bed.  I even got a little burn on my legs that has already turned into a tan.

Friday night some friends came to Norman to see a band called Turnpike Troubadours, so we all went to the concert.  It was a ton of fun!

Then, Saturday was spent holed up inside while it snowed outside.  It was a nice day though.  Jason slept until 3pm and I laid in bed and watched Braveheart for the first time.  That alone took up most of the day.  We then went and ate at O’ Asian Fusion, surprise, surprise, and then we watched 2 movies that night.  The first was The Hurt Locker and the second was Gladiator, another first for me.  By the time we went to bed I told Jason no more war movies for a while.  Those 3 movies totaled about 8 hours of testosterone, suspense and adrenaline.  I was exhausted.

Sunday we got up and went to church, then when we got home I hit the ground running.  I had finally caught the spring cleaning bug.  I was like the Tasmanian devil.  I pulled everything out of every corner.  The house was a wreck!  I threw away 3 full yard work trash bags of unnecessary stuff and then put everything away again, though not everything went back to the same place.

Monday I cleaned out the Cadi and posted it for sale.   It’s really sad to sell it, but I need a car that gets about 10mpg more for the amount of driving Jason and I do.  Together we average about 3,300 miles per month.  So, when I’m not working he will drive the new car and I’ll take the truck.  Our plan is to do an even trade.  So, whatever we get for the Cadi is what we will spend on the next car.  I did a fantastic job cleaning it, if I do say so myself.

Yesterday I finished cleaning out my closet.  I’ll post a pic sometime.  I cleared off one of the hangar bars so that I could put a bookshelf on top of the bottom shelf…  I am realizing how hard this is to explain, so I’ll just post a pic asap.  It’s fantastic.

Houston today.  Home tonight.
